Susan Johnson- Founder
I grew up as a military Marine dependent then entered active-duty Air Force after college where I met the
love of my life. After leaving active-duty, I became a dependent Air Force wife while Dave served another 27 years. My experiences of moving 39 times taught many life lessons through a variety of cultures. It has been an amazing journey waiting on God's timing to bring us to our current location.
My military background includes Intelligence Administration focusing on Air Force-wide plans and programs, defense-wide budgeting, and personnel assignments, in addition to a medical management internship. After the military, I worked nursing and
health care management at a local nursing home in addition to providing respite care to families with disabled children. While living in Central America, I served as the Education Director at Albrook Chapel, Panama. I have been a Precept Inductive Bible Study Leader since 1993 making disciples in every state and country we have lived or traveled to. Currently, I am a summer missionary to Moldova, make disciples
through several weekly Bible classes, serve as Children's Ministry Director and provide Biblical Counseling to those in need.
Dave Johnson- Founder
I retired from the Air Force after 31 years of service. I served in numerous hospital administration roles
ranging from patient advocate, chief financial officer,
and hospital administrator. I also deployed eight times supporting humanitarian operations in Panama, Haiti, and Okinawa and contingency operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. While I currently serve as the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the Burns High
School AFJROTC, my passion and ultimate goal is to serve families of Rutherford County on a full-time
basis alongside my wife.
Sarah Johnson- Secretary
I am Dave and Susan's youngest child and graduated in December 2019 with a degree in mission work. When the job I was supposed to start fell through because of financial difficulties, I felt God had given me the opportunity to start helping my parents with this ministry. I have seen the growth of this property since 2006 up until now and it amazes me. I was 9 years old when groups started coming to volunteer their time and labor to build this ministry from the ground up. I have seen teenagers willingly jump into the mud to clean up the property in an effort to make it safe and enjoyable for children who may not have even been born yet. I have seen adults give up their vacation times because they know the ministry has been ordained by God. I am so thankful that I have grown up helping out, and can now fully pour my efforts into taking the ministry over the finish line.
It has been such a blessing for me to see the calling on my parents lives—F.A.I.T.H.Way—turn into such a great ministry. Even though it is still in the process of being built, it has already impacted so many lives including mine. They have been godly examples to me since I was a child. Rather than sitting on the sidelines and watching them love and serve people, they taught me the joy of doing it myself from the very beginning. When I turned 13 I was even given the opportunity to see other cultures and serve them in the name of Christ. I know my parents will pour all the love they have into this ministry and the children who come to live here, and I only hope that I can continue to learn from their examples.
